Do you really expect someone to kill your snake and then go bragging about how it was just lying there minding it's own business and they killed it? Most people wouldn't kill the snake just for the sake of it, unless it was on their property and they felt in danger. The problem is going to be proving, if someone does kill it, whether they felt threatened or not.

One tid bit of info you left out is the state you reside in, but in most it would be illegal to kill the snake without first calling for animal control and give them the chance to catch the snake.~
