Okay so I wanna know is there a way I can get my car back without paying the release form at the poi e station . I was arrested in oak lawn in Chicago il they impounded my car and said my niece couldn't drive it even though she had license when I was released from jail I was told I have to pay $500 for the release form at the police station and whatever the tow cost was. How can I avoid paying so much?

Not going to happen without paying up.

"Q. How can I get my car out of the pound?

A. You may obtain the release of your car if you are the owner of record, or if you are the representative of the owner of record. You must pay all charges and fines in full before your car will be released to you. In addition your vehicle must be up to date with registration and related requirements including current state license plates and a Chicago Vehicle Sticker if required. All persons claiming a vehicle must present valid photo identification. If the vehicle is being driven out of the pound the driver must have a current valid Drivers License.

You will also need to show proof of ownership for the vehicle in the form of a current registration card or a bill of sale that is not more than 30 days old. If you are a lessee of the vehicle rather than the owner, you will need to present your lease agreement."

"Poi E" is a New Zealand 1984 number-one hit song by the group Patea Māori Club off the album of the same name.

I didn't know they had a station in Chicago.

You don't, if you want your car back you will have to pay the release fees......... if you don't and leave it, the fees go up and eventually they will sell it or crush it
