I think I may have got caught speeding by a mobile speed camera van on a Sunday. Someone in the post office once told me that if you get caught on Sunday s then if you fight the fine then you ll win because they can t catch people on Sunday. Is this true?

It depends.

In some areas the speed limit changes depending on the day and hours. For example, school zones speed limit is usually only endorsable during school days during specific hours, so you can't be fined outside of the official school hours; but this regulation must be posted on the speed limit signs. The problem is that speed cameras don't care about school hours so you have to fight the ticket (some cities don't fix the problem because they get more money by playing dumb.)

So check if there is a speed limit sign stating special hours and days restrictions in that particular street.

No, more folk tale nonsense. Otherwise, people would break the law all the time on Sundays.

i don't know what country you live in

but if you live in the USA. The "camera" tickets are illegal. They are bills of pains and penalties / Bills of Attainder's which are outlawed in all the states.

You might receive something in the US Mail.. but I bet it will come without requiring a signature.

A REAL court sends things via Certified mail where you have to sign for it.

The ticket comes regular mail because it isn't a legal ticket.

You'll have to put some effort into this but automated Camera tickets are beatable. You'll have to deal with this legally. I'll provide some info for you to research and get started.

Automated Camera tickets are hearsay in court according to the supreme court. They need someone to testify in court against you and simply showing a picture isn't good enough. However, the courts will try and trick people by attempting to bring in an expert witness. If you're prepared they cannot succeed in that.

According to your rights, you are also not required to testify against yourself.

If you research the law, you'll also know plenty of other things that are illegal about sending a picture to you in the mail (non-certified by the way) and telling you to pay up. A real court doesn't send something that isn't certified. If you attempt to go to court you'll find it isn't a real court.

You'll have to deal with this legally to make it go away and or sue their pants off, but the camera ticket is not legal.

if you get the ticket in the mail, consider it a "bill of pains and penalties" / Bill of Attainder (in law... which is outlawed in all 50 states of the USA at least. find something about that in your state constitution.

if you have further questions about it, listen and or call into Rule of Law radio show on Monday nights starting at 8pm central time www_logosradionetwork_com

Read the red light camera document on paragraph #4 at the following URL

www_logosradionetwork_com/tao/

Also, adapt the document to your own state that was read at the start of the show: ROL_2015-06-01 It's a slam dunk on the people trying to go after you for money via an automated camera ticket. You'll be telling them you'll go after them for criminal offenses (under color of law) if they continue.

criminal offense letter outlined at start of this show.. camera tickets are unlawful.

Around the 1 hour 3 minute part of the show, listen to Brian from Illinois calling in:

Brian in Illinois gives a very interesting and positive report about his

trip to court to fight a red light automated traffic enforcement ordinance ticket.

Successfully argued in court

Was sickened that the court was taking money from many elderly in the court on very low income.

Court kept telling him to "shut up or we'll have you arrested"

Nobody in the court would produce a bar card or certification but they demanded that he produce it.

There was no swearing in at the court.

Hearing was not within 40 days required by law but court kept ignoring this.

The court kept telling him he was guilty

Let the record reflect that he is not an attorney and under Illinois statute the judge could not make

a ruling. All hearings are to be conducted on the day they are heard and no continuations may be

granted. The judge started shaking at this argument and the court left Brian alone.

They charged Brian with the ordinance but they had no proper evidence to the charge they were

bringing against Brian. They were trying to make Brian guilty by ownership not by evidence.

Brian made comments about friends and family think they are doing service to the country but they

are not fighting the system which is corrupt but letting things go when they are faced with tickets

and courts tricking people into paying.

Also listen to ROL_2014_01_06 around the 47th - 51st minute of the show.

Listen to Dale in Maryland talk about Photo camera enforcement machines writing tickets all the time.

If and when you receive this camera ticket, be sure and save everything you receive in the mail, including the envelope.

Know how to "not enter a plea" and other issues in the law.... the radio show I mentioned is one terrific resource. Also, don't follow directions on the back of a citation or supposed camera ticket; directions such as to go online to a website and blah blah blah. Those directions are an attempt to trick you into waiving your protected legal rights and getting you to pay up
