My child's father has a new job with an increase in his pay is it possible for me to receive an increase in child support......And no negative comments...Yes I have a job, so I am not looking for any hand outs. I take care of my son to the best of my ability plus going to school to finish up my BA...I am looking to get the increase so that I can afford at least half on day care fees so that I wont have to continue taking him to school with me when I return....I have my son 24/7 and he doesnt even call to check on him or come to get him.

It's possible. But it's only likely if the pay increase is "significant." You'll want to check with local support enforcement as to those guidelines before you file.

Consult with a lawyer, I think it is very possible to get an increase in your support order, especially considering the father does not even cover for half of child care cost as you mentioned above. I would contact your lawyer and consult with him/her about your next step!

You probably could. It's suppose to be a certain percentage. I think it's 17% in ny. He has to also pay half the cost for daycare for your child.

If he's paying 140$ a week for support only but your also paying 200$ a week for your child to get watched, he'll have to pay $140+half of childcare ($100)=$240. That's where I live at tho. You can try posting your question on avvo n speak with an attorney. Some offer free consultation. Good luck.
