Nationally, most companies only keep it on your report for 7 years. However, there can be exceptions if there is a stipulation in the judgment for a repayment that goes beyond that time (If you are told to pay $100 per month for 10 years, in theory), then it will stay on longer.

If not paid, it can also be re-reported by the company or person that you owe the judgment to, and they can continue to keep it on your records for many years longer than that.
