An article in the Boston Globe on line today says that a man has been convicted driving under the influence for the 10th time today. He was sentenced to 4 1/2- 5 years in prison. On Christmas day he hit an ambluance going on a call with the lights on and injured two EMT'S. What do you think about that?

I think that for the next 4 1/2 years, he won't be drinking and driving. When he gets out he will.

He won't have a licence, or insurance, and he probably won't own the car, but he will drive, because he is too drunk to walk,

AND HE DOESN'T CARE !!!

The sad part is he'll probably be out in 12-18 months, and be right back on the road with the rest of us. In most places, drunk driving laws are a joke. Leave it to a liberal loser land like Massachusetts to allow this guy 8 convictions and still be on the street.

Did they say the span of time between the first and the most recent DUI? He could have been 70 years old and averaged one every 8 months. They also could have been in multiple states, and the states didn't have good communication of prior offences.

I'm not saying that he's innocent, but there may be a reason that he avoided jail for so long.

This guy needs some serious time away from people. He needs rehab and should be made to pay for those EMT's lost wages, health care, court fees, attorney fees.

This guy has a really bad alcohol problem and is a negative influence on society.

Sad that it took this long to lock him up. They should have sent him to rehab long ago and tethered him to boot.

How in the world did he get 10 drunk drving charges? Why was he not already in jail? Probably because our jails are crowded with rapists and murderers, but then, maybe when he kills someone he will go away for a while.

This guy is a moron!

He most likey incurred the violations over a number of years, most before the stricter laws were in effect.

I think he should have been sent to jail sooner! How can someone still be driving after having 10 DUI's? He definitely needs to be sent to jail and put into rehab. Lock him up until he gets well and can't harm himself or anyone else.

I think that the prison sentence handed down is about 6 DWI's too late.

They should have doubled the sentence, and put him away after the second offense. People like that are scum and we don't need them in society.

He should be going to jail for life, after 10 DUI's everytime he gets behind the wheel drunk he could kill someone. They should charge him with attempted murder.
