My father has recently died. I hadn't seen him in over a year for various reasons. My sister was extremely close to him. He died, and my sister is telling me and my mum that they haven't found a cause of death yet. He was cremated about 2 weeks ago.. Apparently the doctors have some of the tissues from his body and are testing on them. I don't believe any of it though. So i would just like to know if you can be cremated without a death certificate and cause of death. :) thanks xx

Alright here in IL, you can be cremated ONLY after 24 hours has passed after death, AND your death certificate, burial permit, and coroners permit to cremate have been filed. If that has all been done yes you can be cremated. The cause of death is not always known right away. If it is a coroners case it may take up to several wks.

Hope this helps.

Yes they issue you with a certificate which is not the official death certificate. This is so you can have your relative cremated. They do not need a cause of death because from the sound of it it's going to a hearing where they will be trying to find the cause of death.

Yes you can, unless it was murder or a crime was involved and an injunction was served for a hold on the body. You get the death certificate from the Mortuary who files it with the coroner once they have the body. Since you havnt spoken to your dad in a year and the family has already ordered these things done there isnt not squat you can do but sit back

a typical loss of existence certificates would be issued. His kin's desires would be observed. in the event that they might't be contacted or do no longer want to pay, then the state will cremate him. The female chum has no criminal rights on the subject remember of having any suggestion approximately him or making any judgements. His kin can get a duplicate of the loss of existence certificates from the county clerk's workplace interior the county the place he died. they might call the hospital listed on the loss of existence certificates to get greater suggestion.

No, he would have had one before a release for burial was done, the funeral director would not have allowed anything to be done without one. You have to prove the gov't knows of the death.

Many people are buried with unknown marked in the death certificate. Death certificates can

be changed.

I'm sorry for your loss. It must be hard.

You can be, but it would probably involve a mass amount of legal, financial, and medical processing after the fact. It would be messy.

Well that depends. Like if you bring dead body to crematorium and ask if they can burn it then no. But if doctors tells them that they're having problems with it,then yeah probably.
