Okay, first of all, that first word is an exclamation in Luganda that we use to start a sentence when we can't fathom something: like the fact that employers get mad about an employee searching for a different job. Glad to teach you my native language.

But back to the main question, what is the big fuss about a person wanting a job that pays him/her more money? Why can't the employers understand? I feel like if a job pays me a certain wage and I have to budget that money a certain way, why not look for another job that will pay me more so that I don't have to be as tight with money as I am now?

I feel it's weird that they would actually get mad about someone actively looking for a better job to live a better life.

Capitalists don't like it when you have a possibility of doing better than they want to let you. You just told him he doesn't have a leash on you.

They hate unions for the same reason.

In Capital's wastelands, workers are not supposed to ever have the upper hand. Not. e v e r. The boss is supposed to have the upper hand.

They always whine, and sometimes they kill, when they don't have it.

They may accuse you of not being loyal or being greedy. But don't mind them. Just think of the greener pasture on the other side.

Why does my girlfriend get mad when I look for a better girlfriend.

If she really cared about me, she would want me to have the best.
