It was a Sunday afternoon and I received a call and I did not pick up. It turned out it was a telemarketing firm. They left on my voice mail a bunch of insulting languages while a man and a women laughing at the background. My phone recorded the company name, their phone #, time of call and of course the disgusting message. What can I do at this time? I want to find a lawyer to sue them so they pay for their indecent actions.

These telemarketers should NOT get away from violating consumer's privacy, insulting the customer for laughs and get away. Are there similar cases out there like this?

THANK YOU!

Do whatever research you need to enable you to contact the CEO of the company. Contact him about it.

I would also file a complaint with the FTC - especially if you are on the "Do Not Call" list.

To file a suit, you would, of course, need to discuss it with an attorney.

Contact Bell South or Ma Bell Or whichever one you're with and file a "Harassment" calls report. The phone company is well equipped to handle any such calls. Make note of times and numbers of the calls to provide this info to the phone co.

They have the ability to disrupt service of the harasser in a moments notice.

I had a very bad experience and they cut this guy's phone off when he would not stop calling me.

Good luck.

i does not take it as an remarkable insult. there's a element, even though, while prank telephone calls grow to be harassment, and that's the element to contain police. And basically you could understand the place that element is. actual i think of intense and repetitious pranking it rather is obviously concentrated, i.e. getting an identical telephone calls persistently for an identical 30 minutes daily or something, is properly worth attempting to quit. it rather isn't any distinctive to me, rather, than somebody continually driving by utilising your abode or parking on your driveway -- it rather is harassment and that's a criminal offense and can be dealt with as such.

Contact your local law enforcement. Most of them will deal with harassing phone calls.

Also, get your numbers listed on the National Do Not Call list. If a telemarketer violates that list, they can be reported and fined heavily.

If this was a one time thing, you need to forget about it and move on. Trying to sue them would waste a lot of time for little or no pay-off.

Forward the recording to the local news media....They'll make sure that the company gets great negative exposure on the TV!
