Question:
what can I do about my supervisor harassing me over past doctor's note?

My supervisor telephoned me at my work station today and asked me I could obtain a doctor's note while I was out ill under the care of a physician for a week back in July while he was on vacation, even though I already gave a release note to HIS supervisor and another person of his rank when I returned to work in July. He also asked me why I called in sick in early August due to a domestic emergency (not medically related). I was out sick in October, supplied him with a release note, and even gave him the doctor's office phone number when he requested it! Now today, he requests retroactive release notes even though he acknowledged those were already taken care of. What gives? My doctor has been telling me my blood pressure has been getting way too high and this probably isn't helping. My union is in bed with the administration so I'm not comfortable going to them. Anybody have any advice? And please, if you want to make a condescending remark to promote your own self-esteem disregard this and obtain a hobby.

Go to the superior of this guy and explain what you've said here. You complied as required; you did your part. If you can't get any satisfaction, go to HR.

Unions are worthless. I wouldn't bother.

Your blood pressure has nothing to do with this so don't go there.

Your super acknowledges receipt of the notes from JULY and OCTOBER. If he needs copies, he can go to whomever has the originals that you turned in. If it comes up again in the meantime, remind him that you have already turned in the documentation and that he can contact the person to whom you gave it.

Are you a minority. If so, go to human resources. Otherwise see if you can consult with an attorney. I think this supervisor is harrassing you.

He sound like an arrogant and terrible supervisor.

Do what your supervisor says. Being fired is way more stressful.

Dude, save yourself a lot of stress and just give him what he wants.
