Question:
Can n undergraduate (me) date a postgrad? Is that such a crime?

So I am a first year music student at university now, and as the title states I have grown particularly attached to one of my tutors. I say love in the title, perhaps it is not, which I am sure a lot of people will say, but what I do know is that it is not a "crush that'll fade away in time". I am very fond of this woman for some reason and no, not in a purely physical way. I am utterly fascinated by her personality. She has so many interesting things to say and I simply would like to spend a lot more time getting to know her.

However, she is a tutor. It is perhaps worth mentioning that she is a postgraduate and so still technically is a student. She is also probably 10-15 years my senior and a remarkably accomplished woman. I know that most will say forget it at this point, but I can't change the way I feel about her. I think about her all the time, which has been happening for months now. What should I do? I am not seeking anything sordid, I just wish to get to know her better. Is that so bad?
Is an undergrad mixing with a postgrad THAT terrible? Please, advice at this point is warmly welcome

One of my friends in college had a crush on our TA for a freshman class (well, we all did) who was a postgrad student. They ended up getting married and now have three kids. More power to you.

Just keep in mind that around the time you reach 30 she'll probably be going through menopause. That might not sound like something you care about now, but you will by the time you're 30.

Teachers are usually forbidden to have a romantic relationship with students. You can get to know her as a friend, or wait until she's not your TA any more.

I don't think so. Check the school by-laws. There may be an issue if the post grad is a TA.
