Last month me and my boyfriend broke up and he made a sex tape of us without me knowing. He insists that it was to record himself for "performance" improvements..
He hasn't shared it or anything, just has it on his laptop. What can I do?

I no longer want him to have the video, i recorded some of it as proof before he found out. Can I go to court? is this invasion of privacy, voyeurism? I just don't want him to have it. He has joked around about posting it somewhere when I told him this guy had a bigger d$%k.

What can I do?

If it was done without your knowing, you can try to sue over it. But unless it's posted, you likely don't have worthwhile damages just yet. And it's mainly if it's posted with your name, or anywhere that people will readily recognize you, that you should be concerned.

You can consider consulting a local attorney. The first step is likely to write him a letter making it crystal clear that this was done without your awareness or permission, and that you absolutely do not want it posted or shared with others. You'd basically tell him you expect it destroyed. But you should consult an attorney for assistance drafting such a thing. If he goes ahead and posts it, you can't ever truly get it back, and you probably want to sue.

Send him a letter advising him to erase it because if the tape EVER becomes public you will sue him. Keep a copy.

You can sue him, and you can report him to the police.

Depends on your jurisdiction. It's probably a misdemeanor and up to a year in jail.

You can do nothing. The tape belongs to him and you agreed to it at the time. He is free to do with it what he pleases.

So from your history I take it you are a gay man who likes to make bad choices.
