Doesnt it seem logical if someone is convicted of murder or admits to comitting a murder that they imediatly loose their life for taking another persons life? Whats up with this death row bullshit? Im sure it has something to do with your cival rights?
give me a break! I say a hot and a cot and then youre done! death back to you... Im a forgiver too but were talking about the meditated death of someone else... not an accidental death.

due to so many errors in our justice system as we have seen in the past. there have just been to many convictions that now with DNA and better forensics have been overturned.

we must correct the system to insure fair trials

we must set very strict and concise guidelines for death penalty cases. if the judicial system errors can be corrected

then and only then..........................................

1 conviction

1 appeal

1 execution

not only the appeals process, which can take years, and years, and years, but there are delays built into the system to allow for new evidence that may prove the innocence of the condemned.

As an American, death row inmates have the right of appeal to higher courts for acquittal or reduced sentence. It's part of our Constitution.....

That process can be dragged out for years and is why most death row prisoners aren't executed.

Do you know it is more expensive to "execute" a prisoner than to house him/her in jail for life?

Each appeal, paid for with taxpayers money, runs between 1 and 2 million dollars - each!!

Over 14 or 15 years, this adds up.

It only costs about 25-30,000 a year to house a lifer.

Keep it cool hot shot, these convicted killers sitting on death row, actually they are not sitting there but they are still inside the jail or correctional facilities. Wait for the final hours of their miserable lives.

These murderes in your own words are still being studied by the institution that put them to death in the first place. Can you imagine putting someone to death, and you think it is so easy rendering death verdict to someone, huh? It isn't easy not only to the conscience but to the very institution that if the verdict is absolutely wrong in putting someone or somebody in the death row can you imagine how sorry the name of JUSTICE would be. It would certainly turn to mockery. That is why they are still reviewing evidence, witnesses, & other vital document that really put the guy to death, if the overwhelming evidence is true to the point then they could proceed with the so called the HANDS OF GOD upon them in putting them to the electric chair or gas chamber.

You don't want to execute someone who was actually innocent
