I've seen questions/ answers removed within mere minutes of being posted, while I've also seen others take up to 5 days to be removed after several people stated that they'd reported it in their own responses. I watched my cousin set up an account at her house, and her account was suspended before the weekend was over, though she'd never said anything (had only voted on a bunch of questions). Yet, I still see a number of troll accounts that I and others at my college have reported still around after months of reports from at least 5 ppl (we even made it part of our required Intro Comp research report). One friend of mine had a question removed over 3 weeks ago, and it was just reinstated yesterday, but we've seen other removed questions reinstated within mere days of being removed. (Personally, I always get some vague email telling me that my post was in violation, never providing any detail or how.) One hater has even sent me email, telling me that he is the reason that anyone that agrees with me in questions/ answers are removed, bragging that he had "friends in Yahoo programming" that gave special weight to his complaints.
How many others have seen this kind of unusual uneven response? Does it truly seem automated, as it should be, or like there are hidden agendas guiding it? Give us some details, if you can.
How do we explain these inequities, if not that some troll groups (likely controlled by TCs with unusual influence) have preference within Yahoo somehow?
In the questions of this kind I've seen here recently, no matter where they were posted, previously unseen Yahoo Answers "Top Contributors" suddenly pop up to defend Yahoo. They are like little robots, blindly making statements that go completely against what you have seen with your own eyes.
Let's see some theories on how this unbalanced system has developed and what you've observed in it.
