Can an underage person drink legally on private property with the adult parents of the host in Virginia?

No. An underage person can only drink at his parent's residence in the presence of his parents.
The adult parents of the host can face up to a year in jail and/or a fine of $2,500 for serving alcohol to a minor.

On private, non-alcohol selling premises, and with parental consent, a minor is indeed granted exemption to the minimum legal drinking age in Virginia.

an underage person can drink legally only in the direct presence of their own parents and under their supervision. it cant be someone else's parents

Yes (only applies to parents, non-legal guardians would not count), "adult parents of the host in Virginia" - illegal for everyone but their children.
"7. Any person who keeps and possesses lawfully acquired alcoholic beverages in his residence for his personal use or
that of his family. However, such alcoholic beverages may be served or given to guests in such residence by such
person, his family or servants when (i) such guests are 21 years of age or older or are accompanied by a parent,
guardian, or spouse who is 21 years of age or older and (ii) such service or gift is in no way a shift or device to evade
the provisions of this title."

No. Parents would be arrested for supplying alcohol to minors, child endangerment, etc.
