Question:
Should I report this server for not smiling?

I ordered a pizza and the delivery man came to my house. He just said its $12.99 without smiling and didn't say "sir." He's an old man, yes, but still...

I gave him no tip, but I want him fired. Don't delivery men earn a lot? They should learn to treat customers like gold.

I wonder what happens if I call the manager cuz I wrote down the man's name. Should I report him? Plus, I want young people next time to come to my house.

Well, likely, you don't work in SERVICE. Listen, you are being unfair to this person. You don't know his circumstances... why is an old guy delivering pizzas to you at all? Don't you think not tipping him was good enough? NO, you have to get some old man who doesn't WANT to be delivering pizzas FIRED because he didn't smile at you and pretend to be happy that he must deliver pizza in his old age? And, don't get me started on the "Sir" thing. Like anyone says THAT anymore!

You ordered a pizza. Which means you didn't have to cook. And, it was only $12.99! And, someone even brought it to you! But, woe is you because he didn't smile at you or call you sire?

It is not your job to try and get him fired. You can report that he was sullen and did not smile but, that should be it. It will be up to his manager to decide what to do about it. You can also request that this particular delivery guy not be sent to your house anymore but, don 't be asking specifically for "young" people. That is ridiculous. How young is young? Under 40? Under 30? Are you going to ask for someone taller next time, thinner or maybe you prefer a blond. If you start getting that particular, then will decide to not deliver to you at all.

It may have been the owner or an elderly relative FILLING IN for the shiftless dope who was supposed to be doing the deliveries... Do everyone a favor by ignoring the perceived slight. Whether or not to tip is always your personal choice. Tips are, by definition, optional. If a food service can't make a profit on the food or delivery charges, then they can simply stop offering delivery.

Don't report him. That is a pathetic and selfish thing to do. Maybe the man had a bad day. Just because he didn't smile you want him fired? You must be a truly self-entitled person who only thinks of himself. If you do report him that will prove that your life is so pathetically empty and shallow that you have do things like this to get attention.

you are pathetic, I hope you are kidding.

The guy probably supports a family and himself on a low paying job and may have had issues going on - have you no remorse?

I would never report someone working on low wage because of the high stress they are constantly under 24/7. Have some common decency and grow the heck up

Report them for what? Hurt feelings? Servers are under no obligation to pander to your delicate sensibilities.

Don't bother calling. He has already reported you to the manager for not tipping. In fact they may refuse to deliver to you now.

You won't get him fired, sorry. You simply don't have that kind of power.
