How likely is to get a conviction in small claims court for perjury? I have the email that catches him in a lie.

depends on the judge, but don't just bring it out, very carefully set him up.

You can't get a conviction in small claims, that's a civil action.

If you ask the question and he contridicts himself in court, you can show the judge the email and then let the judge weigh the evidence presented.

Hell, if the judges did everyone for perjury that lied in small claims there won't be anyone left standing, everyone lies in small claims... LOL

Is the case still pending? If so, you can ask the Judge to dismiss the case without prejudice, then take the case to civil court. When your turn to testify, present your evidence. This may or may not get a conviction, but it will show the court lack of credibility on his part and get his portion of the case thrown out. Convictions based on perjury is more likely if it's a criminal case.

you can't set people up thats entrapment. But if you can prove it depending on what it is and what it has cost you, yes. Vary good chance.
