Alabama is trying to ban the sale of sexual devices in the state....?

The state says that by doing so would improve morality in the state. I say it's none of their business and personally know of several wives that use these devices, because they have husbands that travel during the week and therefore promotes abstention from extramarital affairs.

What are your thoughts?

O.K. so masturbating with a sexual device is immoral? Can you still masturbate with your hand? That's just ridiculous!!!!! Isn't there supposed to be a separation of Church and State, or is that just some silly falsehood they told me in History class? Oh and the poster who said that people could order sex toys through the Net, actually no they can't. If they make it Illegal in Alabama, companies won't be allowed to ship said items to Alabama. Guess alot of women in Alabama are going to getting pool boys and gardeners,LOL!!!!!!!!!

Well I was born and bred here in AL and I think sometimes our goverment has lost their minds.I read in the paper where legislators don't even know what is a "toy". Well maybe they need to be introduced to them

It is our body and if we use those "obscene" things then what is it to anyone else?I use them and am not ashamed to say that I do.It is not "dirty","won't make you go blind" or any of the other stuff us good southern girls were taught when we were growing up.It is a normal way of life and the only infingement I see is when the govement tries to tell me what is normal and what is obsence.I am over 21 yrs of age and as long as I use these "devices" for my personal enjoyment and pleasure then it shouldn't have a thing to do with the goverment.

We as a state are picked at about how far back in the times we are and yet here it is that they want to interfer with something as trivial as an adult buying a toy.

Maybe this is the reason our legislators have to keep going in special sessions to pass the general fund and education budget,because they can't get focused on what is important.

I think it's insulting. Just because they lack imagination, doesn't mean others don't. Are they going to ban bananas, cucumbers and detatchable showerheads too?



If not, all they're doing is eliminating some jobs and there's too much of that happening already.



You're right about it not being their business. But that's what "Morality" as practised in these sad times is all about. A bunch of excuses to do people bad and get involved in things that are none of your business.



We should have known that when Republicans said they were going to get government off our backs that they meant it ought to be in our bedrooms rooting through our sock drawers instead.

you would be surprised at how far some states will go to "improve morality" (i.e. control) of residents. TX doesn't allow some sex items either. like the Trojan vibrating rings and the selling of the devices you referred to. in essence, it's a few controlling the many with absurd notions of morality.

I don't think it's any of their business. If they want to improve morality, maybe they should offer some classes for parents who don't have any morals and don't teach their children any.
