For precisely 1 year I have been free of his presence.
For precisely 1 year I have walked the dog in peace.
After 1 year this is no longer the case.
Let me explain.
- 1 year ago in June I was walking my dog. I like to listen to my iPod as I walk her to keep my mind off of the night around me. Twice, last June, I would walk her and come to a crossroads in the sidewalk, after the cross there is a road, after the road te sidewalk continues. I usually take a left and walk around the circle again, coming back to the cross every 2-3 minutes and every time I come to this cross I look up from the iPod and look across the road. Twice, there was a man in a white hood, just standing there, doing nothing just standing, facing me, unmoving. I would freak out and run away.

A few days after the second sighting, my father had his car broken into and his GPS stolen. I never saw the man again.

However, just today I was walking the dog, I came to the crossroads and look up. He(or someone else) is not there. The hooded man is rounding the sidewalk corner further across the street and, unlike the other times(unless I wasn't paying attention), he is carrying a blunt object. I ran away, this time I look back, his pace is increasing, so I ran faster. I got inside and told my parents, the conversation went as follows.

"We haven't heard about him in a year,"
But he's back!
"Well just don't go back out tonight"
But......
"Now Go Finish Your Homework!"

This guy is trouble, a normal person woldn't do this.
What should I do?
I have considered carrying a blunt object of my own...........
or perhaps a knife.

Please, people of the world, help me.

First of all, make a complaint to the police. Request an increase in patrol around the time you jog. Don't include the fact that your father's car was broken into because you can't prove the two events are related.

Instead of carrying a blunt object, why not carry a blow horn and a camera? Walk with the camera on and see what you get. NOW you have proof.

Also, ask your neighbors if they know who this guy is.

Keep being vigilant and stop wearing the MP3 at night. It's unsafe to begin with.

This is your Life at stake. What you need to do is think of ANYONE who might have something against you. (An ex, ex friend, etc.) If not you need to call the police as soon as you get back into your home, carry a phone with you and make sure if you see him again get a very good detailed image of him in your head. Carry pepperspray and a knife, that can be used as self defense. DEFINITELY carry a pocket knife. A good sharp one. And dont let it be to small. Just remember look at your surroundings. Go walking at night with a guy friend, or a couple guy friends if you want to walk/run. Just be careful. This is a scary situation but if you look out you can stop anything from happening or you can stop him. If you see him call the police right away. You wont regret this! I promise. Take care.

You go out and buy a gun. Or you can call your local police and describe the suspect to them and have them check him or the area out. Best thing to do is tell your local police about the guy and then go out and get yourself some protection. Not not like a silly baseball bat or walking stick, but like pepper spray or a gun. You are in fear for your life and have every right to protect yourself and your dog from any sort of potential harm.

Don't believe there is much you can do at this point. I would suggest carrying something for your protection. Whether it be pepper spray or a pocket knife.

Just make sure that if you ever are approached by the man, that it's clear he's attempting to do something that's justifiable for defending yourself, and doesn't just want to ask you what kind of dog you have.

The hooded man obviously broke into your dad's car to steal his GPS to find his way to a headshop. He bought some rolling paper there, and created some blunts (hence the "blunt object"). He just wants to smoke weed with you in the street. You should do it, it's pretty chill.
