Hello group. How do we say in a rented house/tenancy agreement that the contract is renewed without any break,i.e. the first was valid from 1st Jan 2020 to 31 Dec 2020 and is review on January 2021. Is it renewed or recommenced and how to say that it is a continuation? I would really appreciate suggestions on writing a short line with the appropriate legal/acceptable terminology. Thanks.

Short answer: If you have to ask how to write a legal contract, HIRE an attorney to write it.

Longer answer: Google will find you SEVERAL fill in the blank forms that cover what you are trying to do.

You can download templates for such documents from Nolo and other legal sites.

Consult an attorney who can create a tenancy agreement.

Legally you can't continue an expired lease/contract.  But what you can do is write a new contract.
