I would contact Shell in the US.

This sounds like a scam.

Don't give them any information about yourself, until you can verify who they are.

If you reply to it there will be a fee to pay for the "additional information". Once paid you will here no more. They will then have your bank details and will be in a position to plunder your account. If you e mail them they will know your e mail is live and you will get other "offers" and they could also then access your PC. It is a SCAM and you should delete it and forget it. By the way, did you ever apply for a job in Nigeria?

The only mail I have received from Nigeria has been spam trying to get money out of me.

If you did not apply for a job then its spam, if you did you should contact the person who interviewed you to check.

No it isn't true, it is a scam. They will send you either cashier's checks, traveler's checks or money order and tell you to put them through your checking account, keep a certain amount for your salary and then wire the remainder to a third party. This is a money laundering scheme that is used to fund terrorists and get money for free.

The scam part is if you put it through your checking account, the cashier's checks/traveler's checks/money orders are very convincing counterfiets and so you will get stuck with a bank account that is overdrawn by thousands of dollars and it will ruin your credit.

Do not fall for this type of scam.

Nigeria hmm. Sounds like a lovely place to live.

That's a real riddle, remember you have to follow your heart.

Why don't you call them up and then get on the next plane!

Another cretin. If someone told you that your leg had fallen off, I bet you'd believe them.

Send all your bank details and passwords off straight away. Thicko.

Write and thank them, but tell them that your bike has a puncture and you may be late.
