I was just dropping my neighbor off in the city and I got hit with a no standing ticket although he was just getting off the passenger side.Is there anyway I can fight it and win? Or is my best bet just settling??

Pay it. No standing is just what you did. You did not park and were stopped in the zone.

Pay the fine, and learn from the lesson. Next time just have the person jump out as you slowly roll by. You could fight the ticket, but what's it worth to you in time and cost? Personally, I'd fight it, just out of principle. Then give the officer abill for YOUR time and costs, that would frost their backside.

You'll probably lose. Bring the money for the amount of the ticket with you to court if you challenge this. They will not accept anything but cash. That way, if you do lose, you can pay rather than go to jail.

Yes, go to court and plead " Not Guilty". Explain the situation to the judge, and they may see it your way.
