I am thinking of buying a clip art software for my company that will be doing cd business cards. If I buy this software, would I need to give credit?

you have to read the terms of use carefully and follow them. while clip art is made to be used, the maker might restrict commercial use while permitting personal use -- and you want to use it in commerce [get paid].
assuming the terms of use are the way you want them, without actually checking, is a good way to suddenly be sued, lose the case, and go bankrupt

You're confusing school rules about plagiarism with laws about copyright. If the copyright owner doesn't give you permission to copy the work, you can be sued. Giving credit does not change that at all. When you buy clip art, the seller specifies what permissions you are given.

No. When you buy it, you get the right to use it without attribution, unless the software has express limitations written in the package somewhere.
There is an ethical problem if you try to pass it off as something you did yourself ("I'm a great artist, aren't I?"), but if you don't make that express claim, use it until you're blue in the face.
