they are selected for the job because they are known to be sick in the head. when death penalty is revoked, the final round of executions should be held for former executioners. your thoughts?

Bit of a barge pole that..., I tried to be swift, succinct, round it all up in short order - but then I'm not an executioner...

This is what I came up with:

Your question was first on the United Kingdom YA so you are probably from the UK. If this is so then you see things differently than we do in America. Our way of doing things is different from yours that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with how we choose to punish our criminals. Many states do not have the death penalty. You also claim that people selected for the job of executioner are known to be sick in the head where is you link? The people who do put criminals to death in the states that have the death penalty are doing a service for the community why would you kill them?

Well, who's going to execute the executioners? You'd have to find somebody sick in the head willing to do that and they'd need to be executed too by your logic. The final round of executions would actually be the penultimate round, and actually you'd need to have another round after that to execute the executioners of the executioners. I don't see a way to stop the madness unless you introduce robots or something, but I'd say that anybody who could program a robot to perform executions is pretty sick and needs to be executed as well.

I understand the logic here, if executioners are to be executed when the death penalty is revoked you will need executioners to executed the executioners, right? However is the executioners are sick in the head, would they not just commit suicide?

They are selected for the job because they are 'sick in the head' - ridiculous statement with absolutely no basis in fact.

So, killers of innocent people don't deserve to die,

But killers of killers do deserve to die?

Your logic is fucked up.
