Hi, I sublet without alerting my leasing company. Would any case I take to court regarding my old roommate who I never alerted was living with me hold up? Or would they dismiss it?

It may hold up - no guarantees. It depends on whether you had a lease that stated that you could not sublet and whether your roommate has an attorney/is any good in court. If he is has no attorney and is naive, you would probably win and the subletting issue would not come up. However, issues have a way of coming up. I would say your chances of winning are fair.

You had no legal rights to sublet, yes probably dismissed plus you could get evicted.

A court will never allow you to benefit from doing something illegal. You would lose in court- in fact you could possibly be required to refund to your tenant any money they paid you illegally.
