I have searched and searched but i cannot find a brief or explanation of why the court found him guilty. i literally have looked everywhere! what was the jury's reason for finding him guilty?

He was convicted on the basis of alleged flirting and also being the last person, supposedly, to see her alive.
In actual fact, it was because he was a Jew and justice was not high on the list of priorities for people in Marietta at the time.

Basically, Leo Frank was found guilty because he placed himself at the scene of the crime, when the murder took place, with an "unconscious" visit to the bathroom in the metal room. It was an easy conviction for the jury.
Leo Frank's exact words on the witness stand at his trial:
Now, gentlemen, to the best of my recollection from the time the whistle blew for twelve o'clock until after a quarter to one when I went up stairs and spoke to Arthur White and Harry Denham, to the best of my recollection, I did not stir out of my office; but it is possible that in order to answer a call of nature or to urinate I may have gone to the toilet. Those are things that a man does unconsciously and can not tell how many times nor when he does it (Leo Frank Trial Brief of Evidence, 1913, p. 186).
