the thing is! i have aspergers. I'm supported by NAS, which is contracted access to different services. I was away on holiday in june. i missed the whole of june, because i was in tenerife. my support was changed whilst i was on holiday, now everything has changed. i'm aware of what's happened and new support is to my liking. i've had words with my previous supporter and she's asked if i would like to see the minutes for the review, there was a meeting, that took place about my support, this took place whilst i was on holiday, there's a couple thing's i'm not clear on though

1. considering i was away for three weeks, why wasn't the meeting cancelled. I asked for it to be cancelled and they ignored that request
2. I knew i was going to be getting new support in the next couple of months and i told my previous support to wait, so we could discuss plans, this request was also ignored.
3. i've asked my new support if there's possibilities of still being supported by my previous supporter and he's said this won't happen
4. theyv'e had discussions/meetings and reviewed the situation without my consent, without me being present
5. they didn't discuss the changes with me, when it happened, it happened without discussion
6. my previous supporter was only temp cover, because my key worker is on maternity leave. she (key worker) won't be supporting me for another 10 months atleast, because she's on maternity leave
7. i haven't been under anyone for the last six month, until recent changes made i haven't had a key worker
8. i've been told by my new supporter that he's my new key worker, which is news to me. i didn't and never knew i was getting a new key worker

should i forget about it, leave it, because this all happened two months ago
the reason why i'm asking if i should make a complaint, is because my old support has gone missing, drifted for various reason. i'm not being supported by many people at the moment. i used to have alot of support, that's al gone now though and the only person that has been supporting me the last year, is the person who i've just finished being supported by.

i'm actually getting used to the idea of not having as much support anymore. i've been back accessing the service for about a month now. i've been with the new bloke for about a month. the reason why i haven't made a complaint allready, is because i can't be bothered and i don't want to waste my time. i was just going to leave this in the past and forget it, there's plans that i'm going to be supported by various new people, so my new key worker says

If you managed to survive a whole month in Teneriffe you do not need any support. Time you got on with life and got a job.

One of the biggest problems for anyone who has a learning difficulty is being ignored, and guess what - you were ignored. I would state to them that while you accept that change is inevitable, it was against your human rights to just be ignored. They should have either postponed, or even brought forward the meeting. Ask that you will be consulted over any other changes.

Then why are you taking the time to write this?

Also, they are allowed to have meetings about you when your not present. If they didn't, then they would not be doing their jobs.

If, as you say, you can't be bothered then why are you taking your time to write this post? Just forget it and move on.
