Do you think that it is ok to teach hindi as a subject in state syllabus in south indian states( AP, KA, KL).
Personally i regret that i learned hindi at school, because i don't f***k use this language no where in my life and i don't intend to live in any hindi speaking states entire my life. i think as a bangalorean i can communicate in english & in all south indian languages. my point is why our states has embraced hindi eventhough it is not useful for independent people like south indians, because we are not moving to north india in search of job. indeed they are moving here to spread their filth around. instead of this our education system can introduce something useful like music, drawing, french, german etc. but why hindi????. do they learn any culturally rich south indian languages, HELL NOOO !! then why we should learn their language????? Do you think it is equality for all ???

Additional Details
The same applies to sanskrit as well. cos it is not used anywhere and it is a language of nomads. Tamil is an ancient language which is older than sanskrit. but why our states doesn't teach tamil/ telugu/malayalam to us. cos we share common border with all south states. rather than studying a language which is alien to our culture we can learn one of our southern language. i think south indians can even learn all 4 south indian languages cos we have that capacity. which in turn results in unity among us thus increasing coopearation and peace. ( I am not a tamilian. but i am glad to learn tamil instead of hindi. cos here in bangalore all tamil people when they come to bangalore , they learn and speak kannada in a short time. but north indians despite of living here for 10 years cannot utter a single kannada word.)

Uh well uh you question seems complicated to me,yeah apparently as I'm an Anglo Indian from Fort Kochi.I don't understand Hindi and it's high time that not only South Indian schools but also schools which are situated on states with a local language should give more importance to their language.For eg,I studied in an Anglo Indian school at Kochi and I gave preference to English more than any other language as it's my mother tongue.Hindi is a foreign language to me.I know Malayalam too.I'm half American/Dutch.Every states have their own language.For instance,Kerala has English and Malayalam as it's official language.Tamil Nadu has Tamil.Karnataka has Kannada.If everyone has to learn Hindi,are we being non Indian and more of a Pakistanis?Everyone consider English as a foreign language when it's the international language and how come you can be right accepting Hindi which is not even an Indian language.It's more of a persian language and for the guys who are gonna cry asking me about the British who made us work hard and see ourselves as slaves,I've one question for you.What are our people doing to ourselves?They couldn't learn every language in India so they taught us English and it's not just India.They did the same to every nations.For instance,USA,Australia and so on and in that sense,I respect the Indian language,English more than the persian language Hindi but don't have any problem if someone up there at North talk in Hindi but it's so funny if people in the South who have their own heritage talk in someone's else language and if Africans,Americans,Australians can respect English.Why can't we and I believe it's just these Hindi people that disrespect the language.Every guys in Kerala and most guys in South India know that English is the most important language but at the same time they respect their local language too.

Have you ever listened to an American teacher?I'm sure that your teachers are Indian.If you have listened to American/European teachers,you will find one key difference.Indian teachers try to make simple things look like big ****.American teachers on the other hand makes everything funny and simple.It's the same happened here in India.Some people whom I consider as non-Indians spread made everything complicated.For example,India have many languages and who proposed about this "Hindi as a language to unite Indians theory".Half of Indians don't know Hindi and if there are ones who know about it,be sure they are either a guy who works as a cab driver or a beggar.Period!Now we all turned against Australians calling them racists.If they were racists to Indians,why not even a single Malayalee or Tamilian got hurt in the rampage?There was like one guy from AP and no other South Indian states.Why?Because North Indians did the exact same thing that they do here and obviously it didn't work out with the whites as they are more cunning than Indians.The same thing happened in Kerala.The people here ganged up and beat the hell out of North Indians,mainly UP guys who are working here.There is no point in calling them racists.Talking about racism who are racists?I'm infact a half white,I don't brag myself that I'm white.Many Indians,mainly North Indians talk like they are white but North Indians on average are infact darker than South Indians but all this is due to the way they are brought up.Their parents say white is superior.So you know,I see North Indians as jokers who are white obsessed,illiterate people and believe me they have an inferiority complex.Even there are not much Tamilians here,even I can understand Tamil a little bit.Anyway I always ask my nephew to learn English and avoid learning Hindi.

Mr. Santosh, Glad to know your views about Entire India and specially Hindi And Sanskrit.

I am from Maharashtra but working in central govt institute in Tamil Nadu. In past 1 yr I can Understand Tamil but can not speak completely as it is tough for any Marathi, Hindi or Sanskrit originated language speaking person to learn Dravidian language same in case of S. Indian ppl to learn Hindi/Sanskrit.

I always experienced that ppl in s. India hate Hindi then I thought I was wrong but now U made me sure that u ppl really hate it. Ya Tamil is a very old, ancient and beautiful language and Mother of all but U should not forget 1 think that any language is Mother to some 1 and u should not insult it.

One more imp thing u forget that our Bhagavadgita, Vedas are in Sanskrit. Sanskrit got script before Tamil though Tamil was spoken earlier to Sanskrit. And if you think by learning Hindi u wasted ur time then it's ur Bad luck!!! No one can change your thought.

Carry on...

Just wait for your current south Indian g/f to dump you,then we will see how much humorous you find south indians to be :P just kidding about the above statement,of course we all hope and pray that such day never comes and you remain glued to each other like fevicol kaa jod. I think you are being subjective ,those seductive love chemicals in your brain have created a kind of chemical locha and you are being blinded towards reality and facts. I agree with kandy ,It just depends on the person, nothing else! :D there are people with amazing wit and humor from both parts of india ,so very hard to say who is better and it is also a question of preference for certain kind of humor .Some might prefer South Indians over North Indians and vice- versa. btw where does that leave people from western part of India ,like ones from mumbai and rest of west India.

Hindi aint our official language and if you want some language to connect unity in india why dont you make "english the global language" an official language of india which is already taught in all states..english will not only bring unity but also brings global unity..does this sound good ? bullcrap,indian government is not making english language our official language just because it is a foreign language...and same applies to south people.Hindi is a foreign language for dravidians,tamil is not from sankrit,everything is different.so it is like forcing red indians to learn english in US..connecting language just for the sake of unity ? will north indians learn other classical languages for unity ,no, they don't and they won't .this is not about hate,honestly Dravidian languages have a greater history than Hindi. "tamil civilization" the only "surviving" civilization in present India to have a continuous classical past. you dont need a language to stay united,u just need good heart and good leaders.most countries in latino world has made spanish their official language along with local languages.but what is the problem with indian government in making english, the recent foreign language as one of our official languages along with Hindi ,a little older half foreign language ? but india wants only Hindi but not english or any other classical languages.tamils are fond of their geniune language and civilization that is why tamils were one of the first to protest against hindi language monopoly whilst other states believed the lie of indian government and acted like sheep..no offence,it is a fact.since independence 60+ yrs has gone,aren't we united ? stop fooling around in the name of Unity ..its their wish to learn or not..no one can force their idea into others.

Boss, you're a typical Kannadiga, who regrets learning hindi at school at a later stage in life. Don't all Kannadigas have Hindi as their first language and second language as Sanskrit in school and vice versa. When I was studying in Bangalore, I had taken Kannada as my first language and the rest of my classmates were born Tamilians, Gultees and Malayalees who also took Kannada as the first language. First all Kannadigas should learn to live like Kannadigas in Karnataka. In current Kannada Film Industry you see all North Indians such as Aindritha Ray, Ragini Dwivedi, Pooja Gandhi speaking Kannada rather than our own Ramya, Deepa Sannidhi, Shivarajkumar who speak in English(watch them giving interviews). These so-called Kannadigas also struggle to deliver dialogues in Kannada.

To the motherfuckers who say,Hindi is the National language of India should get out of our India and should go beg in Porkistan.To the assholes who say Hindi is the only official language of India,why don't you get out of India and go to your persian land.India is not for you.There are 22 official languages in India and believe me,Kannada,Malayalam,Tamil,Telungu are so famous and I even respect the other languages which are no so famous in India.If we learn Malayalam,we can learn without learning any language in Dubai(I'm a Keralite and it's like our home land and yes there are Northie beggars there whom we don't care,I mean who cares the cab drivers and dirty job workers LOL).Tamil is the most ancient language in India and I respect it way more than Hindi.As a Keralite I understand Tamil although I can't speak in Tamil.Tamilians can understand Malayalam a little bit too.To the bloody moron who said,South India need Hindi,no we don't need it but you guys need to learn our languages which are the real languages of India and a South Indian can't really live in underdeveloped North India.Our cities are way cooler than yours,I won't call your cities "CITIES" though.For me,it looks like slums.Now as for Keralites,English is not a foreign language and Hindi is a foreign language and we hate it.It's the same with every South Indian.We ******* hate Hindi walas who look too ugly and you can't blame us for calling you beggars.Sorry I'm not a racist.I just dislike Northies.LMAO!To the pea brains who said Hindi is an Indian language,fuckers for your information,Hindi is an Indo European language and has more persian influence than Indian influence.Urdu,the language in Pakistan is closely related to Hindi and our languages are way too different and our languages are real Indian languages.Even English is our language,we have lots of Anglo Indians here who have English as their mother tongue.English is an Indo-European language too so what's the difference assholes?Don't say Hindi is Indian and English is not.Hindi is not fully Indian so as English.Indian languages are Malayalam,Tamil,Kannada,Telungu etc.South India is very diverse,we have Christians(There are like 500 types in Kerala),Hindus,Muslims,French,Dutch,Portuguese etc.So **** your Hindi and go to porkistan.I'm not racist to every North Indian I see.I just hate the Hindi beggars.That's all.

Hindi is a national language.

If you don't want to allow south india.

Its create another additional separation from south india to north india.. Already we have lot and lot of separation.

Today south india need hindi . Because our business and jobs related today in national and international.

So we must agree and allow the hindi. But not as a primary language .

And Sanskrit also our traditional language .

You must try to understand india and our culture .

@sam...**** u...

@santosh...

it depends from person to person...not everyone is like dat...i know many north indians who come 2 india and learn tamil...but itz really difficult for Hindi speaking people to learn south indian lang.

similarly it is difficult for a south indian people to learn Hindi...but since it is widely spoken da government asks us to learn it..because people must not loose an opportunity because of a language...nd nt all north indians are like dat sam...so dont have a bad opinion about them..da only thing dat irritates me da most in north india is dat...dey don wanna speak other language if we go 2 north...once i went to north india and i didn't know hindi...some people who knew both english and hindi spoke only in hindi...it was really a difficult experiance...but again not all north indians are like dat...
