I had a taped interview with the police for an incident that happened 3 years ago, my DNA and fingerprints were taken. No charges or actions were taken against me.I am going for a job in care which requires an enhanced CRB I just wanted to know would this show up on the form.

If you were not given a warning, caution or reprimand and have no convictions then it will not show up.

First - it does not matter whether it shows up on a CRB check or not - the fact that any item appears on a CRB check is not a reason why you should not get the job, your prospective employers will consider what the offence is - things like speeding (as long as the speed was not excessive - which would show a reckless streak) for instance will be ignored as it was not an offence specifically against children. Second - you never went to court so you do not have a conviction (spent or otherwise) so there is no need to mention it on your application.

CRB certificates show details of all cautions, reprimands, warnings and convictions you have ever had.

the certificate can also show what is known as approved and additional information at the discretion of the chief police officer. the crb have no control over this, it is the police who decide.

the incident is not described so I am afraid it is impossible to even guess if the police will add any information.

YES it will.

An enhanced check shows all convictions, arrests and any "relevant" information held by the police.

As you had DNA and Prints taken then it sounds as though you were in fact arrested. This will show. It is then upto the potential employers whether it is relevant to the position or not.

Tell them about it prior to them receiving the CRB.

It highlights pretty much any misdemeanours you have had with the police...

So it will most probably be there but it is up to the issuers to determine whether or not they show it.
