What you've stated, by itself, is not enough for them to take your new baby.

No, you're not even telling 5% of the story. CPS doesn't get involved just because a child has bruises on the bottom of their feet and you don't just go and legally turn your child over to your mother because of a few mystery bruises either. You can't get a realistic answer to your question if you're not going to tell the truth. Sure, you might get some negative comments but you also might get a real answer that could be helpful to you.

CPS is a reactive organization, if the baby is born addicted to drugs or something then they would come back, but currently you are not on their radar. HOWEVER, knowing that your mother has guardianship of your first child there is a strong chance she will try and take guardianship of this one as well.

If you aren't fit enough to be a mother to one, you aren't fit enough to be a parent to the other one. Your own mother MAY call CPS on you to remove the other child.

If someone has a complaint they sure can and why in the hell don't you know how a child was bruises up in such a fashion enough for them to remove the child from your home.

Unfortunately CPS does not have the time or personnel to make sure this one is not abused as well unless someone complains.

No look at all the weirdos on tv who hurt or kill their kids and have more.
